weekly investment PIE from National Bank

They have a great product for those of us who are young enough to still be willing to take a certain amount of risk while investing. It's called Thoroughbred Unit Trusts and there are several choices on which funds to invest in. Investments are spread out to lessen the risk in that respect. The best part, to me, is that you can start investing for only $12.50 per week.

That sounds interesting. Especially the weekly investing. That would work well for me because it would make it where I could invest in lots of small "chunks" as I get the money rather than trying to save up enough to invest. Are there any fees involved?

I've looked around the site but could only find information about past returns and rates but nothing about the fees. Here's the link if you'd like to find our more about the product but I think you have to call or make an appointment to find out all the details:

I think the fees are 1.55%. I agree, it should be a little easier to see the fees quickly.

Hi Marianne3, have you yourself got one of these products or do you have some connection to Nationalbank?

I was just sharing what I found because I've seen people posting here that many of the investment vehicles out there are too much of a minimum. I haven't invested in this yet but I have an appointment next week at National to talk with someone, I guess a financial advisor? I don't have any connection with the bank unless I start this account. My regular savings is at Rabo in an online account. I've been looking at all the investment opportunities that I can to find something that has either very low minimums or where I can invest regular small amounts so that's what attracts me to this unit trust thing.
